Minion Land: Overview

 

OVERVIEW:
Guests approach a strange-looking portal with supervillain gadgets on it as well as bananas, teddy bears, and.......is that a Minion up there? Yes it is. Guests go through a tunnel of yellow light and immediately find themselves in the world of Illumination's Despicable Me and Minions films. This is another family area.

When coming in, guests can see a lot. On the left is Super Silly Fun Land, a childrens' area, while on the right is an exclusive dark ride. Then, guests can walk down Illumination boulevard past shops and restaurants themed to the Minions, heading right towards Gru's House at the end of the street.

Interestingly, the Minions themselves have French connection. According to canon, one of the villains that they served was Napoleon Bonaparte. In addition, the Illumination animation company is also located in Paris, as seen in the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

  OVERVIEW: There is a large, high-tech spire with greenery growing on it. On it is the image of a dinosaur, and inside is the tunnel of blue light. This transports guests to a tropical land near a lagoon, where past and present meet. Guests travel to the exotic island of Isla Nublar, where a world 65 million years in the making is. Welcome to Jurassic World, where dinosaurs are seen in real life. This is the realization of John Hammond's (the creator of the original Jurassic Park) dream to create an edutainment park with living, breathing dinosaurs. But even with its beauty, wonder, and advanced technology, danger lurks in every corner. Some dinosaurs are out and on the prowl, and they would like to eat you.....I mean, meet you.
