Minion Land: Attractions
13 - Minions: Historical Heist
D-Ticket
Any Height
Guests join the Minions as they attempt to recover a priceless artifact from the World History Museum. This ride serves as a reference to the 2024 Olympics opening ceremony, in which the Minions stole the Mona Lisa from the Louvre and then left it floating in la Seine when their submarine sank.
QUEUE:
Located on the right side of the land is the World History Museum, where the attraction is advertised. It is done in late Victorian style and is an elegant sight. Then, when guests go into the lobby, they go past the desks and then into the storage room. Here, it is revealed that the Museum is opening a new exhibit, featuring the Mona Lisa. Guests also see a smuggled-in television where a young Gru tells the guests his plan. He wants them to help his Minions steal the Mona Lisa, riding on special vehicles to do it.
Guests soon board one of three vehicles, sitting up to six people with two rows of three. They climb aboard and pull their lap bars down.
RIDE EXPERIENCE:
Guests go into a room filled with Greek statues. Here, they pass some Minions who have dug a tunnel underneath a statue of Zeus, coming right from under his chair. One of the Minions touches the heel of a statue of Achilles, causing it to crumble. Gru shouts from the vehicles, telling the Minions not to touch anything, or security will be alerted.
However, in the next room, there are a bunch of Mayan relics. In an Indiana Jones-style way, a Minion swaps an idol for a cupcake, but it is not enough. Immediately, the alarms go off. Gru shouts and tells the Minions to hurry up now that security has been alerted.
However, guests pass a room where the security guards are asleep. Apparently, a Minion had a music box playing a melody to put them asleep, which Gru notes was a "smart idea." They then proceed into a room of weapons. Here, Minions knock over several suits of armor, fire cannons at each other, and even cut a pineapple open with a guillotine. Gru groans and orders the Minions to focus on the mission.
Things are no better in the next room, which is filled with dinosaur skeletons. Some Minions are riding them as they spin above the guests, referencing a scene from Jurassic Park. Also as a reference to that film are mosquitoes in amber, which a Minion is tapping at, trying to wake the imprisoned mosquito up. In a kitchen, a minion blows on the door (another Jurassic Park reference) and then draws a smiley face.
Frustrated that the Minions are slacking off, Gru decides to take matters into his own hands and sends the guests to the art gallery. Here are several paintings, including some replicas of famous paintings like Napoleon Crossing the Alps, the Scream, and Starry Night. However, the place where the Mona Lisa is has no painting. Gru originally questions why this is before seeing some Minions sneaking off with it.
With the painting now in his hands, Gru decides to leave the museum. However, as the vehicles go into an Egyptian room, a Minion accidentally traps one of his comrades in a sarcophagus. If that wasn't bad enough, another topples a statue of Anubis. It is then when sirens are heard and the police show up.
Deciding to take the run for it, the vehicles and the Minions hide in the storage room. Gru orders guests to get out before the cops get them, but it's too late. Police officers show up, but then a Minion does some mind control on them and make them break out into song. Using this as a distraction, Gru sends the vehicles to the unloading station, where the guests get off.
POST-RIDE:
Guests can find gifts at the Museum Treasury, which sells Minion and other historical souvenirs.

Guests can test their skills on these carnival games. Here, they can play Minion-inspired games, and even Super Silly Space Killer, the game where Agnes got her fluffy unicorn.
16 - Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem
E-Ticket
Must be 40 in.
Guests can come into this motion simulator ride, where they are recruited to become Gru's Minions.
QUEUE:
In the back of the land is Gru's house. Here, guests go inside and walk around, seeing televisions that ask questions about Minion training. Then, they proceed into Gru's Lab, where they move around some of his gadgets.
PRE-SHOW:
Soon, guests enter the pre-show room. Gru appears on a balcony above, welcoming the guests and explaining why they are there. Gru is looking for more Minions to take part in his evil schemes, so he's recruiting guests to be Minions. They watch a video that explains Dr. Nefario's process of making them Minions before the girls show up. With some persuasion from Edith, Gru lets them take over Minion training. After Gru leaves, the girls reveal that it's their adoption day, and they got Gru a present, but it will have to wait.
Guests then go into the theater and board their pods. There are even non-moving pods for those who are not tall enough or don't want the thrill.
RIDE EXPERIENCE:
When the door opens, the guests are hit by Dr. Nefario's Minion-izer, turning them into Minions (as seen on a screen.) After this, the girls, riding in a hovering pod, begin their training. The pods move through an obstacle course, heading through a cactus field, a room with giant fly swatters, and a tunnel of laser beams. They are then knocked backwards by giant boxing gloves, sending them into a hole. Luckily, the Minions form a bridge to catch them.
Just when things are wrapping up, the girls have the guests resist the banana. However, the other Minions are unable to resist and the bridge falls apart. This sends the girls and the guests into a restricted area of the lab, where they encounter Gru. After a near-fatal catastrophe, missiles are launched. Luckily, the girls and Gru (as well as the guests) take refuge in a shaft, where Minions catch them. Agnes reveals Gru's present, a small (slightly burnt) plush of him, but Gru likes it.
He then shows his surprise, a giant theme park for the girls' adoption day. The pods fly through it before landing in front of Gru. He announces that they have passed their training and will be his new Minions, only for one Minion to knock over Nefario's machine and turn them back into humans. Disappointed by this, Gru dismisses the guests and decides to bring in the next group.
POST-RIDE:
Guests exit through a 5-minute dance party, where Minions will occasionally appear. They then proceed into the Minion Mart gift shop.
